COVID-19 has separated The Body of Christ - the church - by way of state mandated lockdowns. It’s an unfortunate circumstance we Christians find ourselves in. Be reminded, “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,”
James 1:2 NKJV
So how can we feel joy in this situation today? After all, we can’t even go to church! Wasn’t the United States supposed to be the land of the free? Make no mistake, God knew this would come to pass even before He formed the Earth! And praise Him for that!
For those of us that need the reminder, this was all a part of His plan. He is indeed working through all of us during this pandemic. Isn’t it wonderful to have all of this extra time on our hands to spend in His presence?
I heard a Pastor recently say “Just like spending time under the sun will tan your skin, so too will presence in the Lord bring you closer to Him. And isn’t that so true?
The Lord spoke to me today in this word from James 2:1. He said, “My child, haven’t you read the scriptures? You don’t need to go to that building, that raw brick and mortar, to be in my presence. You ARE the church.’” 1 Corinthians 3:16 says “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?”
I pray that this word brings you comfort today, Christian. I know you miss your church family. I certainly do! But at the end of the day, it’s JESUS who we really crave, and I assure you, Jesus is with your church family today, and He’s with you too! Please let this bring you peace today.
